STEINERT 6'3" Model D Grand Piano Serial Number 11851
Year of manufacture is approximately 1909. Between the late 1800's and 1930's, M.
Steinert, America's oldest Steinway dealer produced their own pianos in Boston,
MA. The pianos they produced were essentially copies of the Steinway models found
in their showroom. The Steinert model D is nearly an exact copy of a Steinway
Model A, with the same attention to detail evident throughout. The piano was
completely rebuilt and refinished, in a dark mahogany low luster
lacquer. Style is traditional. Soundboard and bridges were refinished and are in
perfect condition. New hammers were fitted, voiced and shaped to Steinway
standards. The piano has a very powerful sound much like a Steinway model B. Key
tops are concert grand size (slightly elongated by 1/8 of an inch). The action
was rebuilt and pinblock replaced. The plate was refinished in gold lacquer and
restrung using the finest wire available. The dampers and pedal assembly were
rebuilt. A matching bench is included, as well as an in-home tuning, local move
and 2 year warranty. Price $16,500 Click for Picture
